Smoove & Turrell are the North East’s funkiest group , crafting authentic retro sounds with a contemporary twist. Their latest album Broken Toys has been given a huge thumbs up by the critics, who praised their ability to span a range of genres from blues and jazz to their more common selection of funk and soul songs.
From just a couple spins of their third single from the album, ‘Will You Be Mine?’, it is not hard to see why. This is a fun, funky track where the harmony of synth and guitar builds a tantalizing dance beat and transmittable groove. These guys have true northern soul.
