Help with your writing

At Cuckoo Review, we like to think that the thing that sets us apart from other reviewing magazines is that we can help you become a better writer.

“How to” guides
A bit confused about the difference between a preview and a review? Not sure whether you can use “I” in a review? Don’t know what format to send your review in? You’ll find answers to these and other important arts journalism questions  in our handy How To guides, which can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. Voila!

Getting feedback
Sometimes it’s tough being a writer. You write something, you send it away, it gets edited (i.e changed around a bit) and then published. And that’s it. And you know you could improve but you don’t know how.

At Cuckoo Review if you ask for feedback on the work you send us, we’ll try and give you some constructive criticism and some hints and tips about how to get better. If you’d like feedback, email  and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
